Zelos Therapeutics Appoints Colin Goddard, Ph.D. To Board Of Directors

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. and OTTAWA, Ont. – July 20, 2006 - Zelos Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel, clinical stage therapies for patients at increased risk of bone fractures, today announced the addition of Colin Goddard, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. Dr. Goddard, who is Chief Executive Officer of OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc., brings over 20 years of corporate development and operations experience to the Zelos Board.

Under Dr. Goddard’s leadership, OSI has built its reputation as a leading biopharmaceutical company, focusing on discovery, development and commercialization of pharmaceutical products in the areas of oncology, eye diseases and diabetes. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in October 1998, Dr. Goddard held several senior executive positions at OSI, including President, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Research Operations. Dr. Goddard currently serves on OSI’s Board of Directors and previously served as its Chairman of the Board from 2000 to 2002.

“Colin has established himself as a seasoned biotechnology executive,” said Farah Champsi, Chairperson of the Zelos Board of Directors. “In his time at OSI, he has spearheaded its corporate development, acquisition and financing efforts. The Zelos Board of Directors is pleased to welcome a member with such extensive experience, as his contributions will be crucial as Zelos seeks to expand its clinical activities and strategically partner its late stage Ostabolin-C™ osteoporosis program.”

Prior to joining OSI, Dr. Goddard spent four years at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He is active in many organizations which promote the advancement of cancer treatment and awareness, science education and the biotechnology industry, including the Board of Directors of the Biotechnology Industry Organization, CancerCare of Long Island, the Long Island Association, and the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States. He is a member of the American Association of Cancer Research. Dr. Goddard holds a Ph.D. from the University of Aston in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
