Zelos Investment History
Zelos Therapeutics has raised approximately US$71 million in equity since its inception in 2000. Four life science-focused venture capital firms participated in the Series A investment: VenGrowth Capital, Seaflower Ventures, Genesys Capital and the Business Development Bank of Canada. The cumulative Series B round of US$55 million was led by Alta Partners, who was joined by Prospect Ventures, Frazier Healthcare, SR One and the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan. As part of the Series B round of financing, Zelos Therapeutics, Inc. was incorporated as a Delaware corporation with its Canadian entity becoming a subsidiary of the Delaware firm.
